Colorbök LLC, Dexter, MI (December 2008 – Present)
Created prototypes for a scrapbook company and acted as “Plush Expert.”
Prototype Artist
• Applied art from the Design Department to create product prototypes for salespeople to utilize in presentations with buyers.
• Designed patterns for and constructed plush animals and clothing for the Kids’ Department.
• Created three-dimensional prototypes sculpted after drawings from the Design Department.

Freelance Artist/Designer, Ann Arbor, MI (2005 – 2008)
Gained experience in art marketing, client relationships, and creative development and production.
• Created and maintain a professional website and online database of work.
• Met with clients to discuss their needs and solve problems, and executed work in a timely manner.
• Became self-managed in regards to advertising and accounting.

Marathon Oil Company, Detroit, MI (Summer 2006, Winter 2007)
Worked as a summer intern, and was given increased responsibility upon returning in the winter.
Switchboard Operator, Mailroom Personnel (May – September 2006)
• Fielded incoming calls and inquiries to the refinery.
• Checked security badges of employees and signed in outside parties.
• Picked up and dropped off mail for the refinery at the Post Office, picked up and delivered mail throughout the refinery.
Administrative Assistant (December 2006 – April 2007)
• Filed invoices for the Accounting Department.
• Assisted the Environmental Safety Department with filing, data entry and safety label creation.

Ann Arbor Film Festival, Ann Arbor, MI (March 2006)
Helped to develop and implement a Rococo-themed, choreographed group performance piece at the opening of the 44th Annual Ann Arbor Film Festival. View a video of the event here.
Costume Designer
• Developed a costume concept that helped set the tone of the performance.
• Resourced all materials and pieces for the costumes.
• Oversaw construction of and constructed many of the costumes.

Chelsea Center for the Arts, Chelsea, MI (Spring 2005, Dec. 2005)
Supported a collaboration of local artists with the Art Center to design and construct a community monument, and was invited back to teach art classes to children at the center.
Summer Intern, Artist in Residence (January – May 2005)
• Created monthly works of art for display in the Art Center.
• Gave concept, design, and construction support to artists during development of a large-scale sculpture with symbolic value to the community of Chelsea.
• Documented pieces donated by members of the community for integration into the sculpture.
• Designed and distributed a booklet chronicling the project, for the edification of the investor and community.
• Assisted art instructors with summer classes for children.
Art Instructor (December 2005)
• Developed and prepared interesting and challenging lesson plans for children of varying ages.
• Effectively communicated ideas and concepts to students and supported these with relevant projects.
• Gave feedback to and critiqued the work of students in a constructive way with an aim to help them develop their skills.

OxBow School of Art, Saugatuck, MI (Summers 2005, 2006)
Sold two pieces at auction to benefit the school.

COSI Science Center, Toledo, OH (June – September 2005)
Worked as a cashier in the Science Center Gift Shop.

• Checked out customers efficiently, and in a friendly manner.
• Kept store tidy and restocked the shelves as needed.
• Opened and closed the store and registers.
